Web15 Mar 2010 · Yep, it’s time for Gateway’s Annual Cowboy Poetry Gathering, sponsored by the Merry Mixers 4-H Club, with all proceeds benefiting the organization’s scholarship fund. The eagerly anticipated event is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m., on Saturday, March 27, at the Gateway Community Building. That was a lesson I needed to learn in my early years of writing poetry because I mistakenly thought cowboy poetry HAD to include "ranchy stuff."
