WebSchwab has closed my newly open accounts twice within days of opening the account. I was under the impression that Schwab didn’t check your credit but the letters I have received in regards to my account says that it’s due to me not meeting their credit profile. Definitely disappointed as they advertise that they don’t credit checks. WebSchwab's Amex Platinum credit card is so much better than the regular Amex credit card. The Schwab Amex Plat can redeem MR points at 1.10 per point compared to $0.80 per point. The 2% Fidelity cash back card is frankly useless, especially since the card does not even offer a sign up bonus. Look up Wells Fargo's 2% cash back card.
