Web12 de jan. de 2024 · The basic working principle of a Closed Circuit Rebreather consists of recycling the breathing mixture within a loop. To keep a constant ppO2, small amounts of oxygen are injected (either manually or automatically) into the exhaled gas to replace the oxygen which has been metabolised by the diver. There are several safety issues with rebreather equipment, and these tend to be more severe in diving rebreathers. Some of the hazards are due to the way the equipment works, while others are related to the environment in which the equipment is used, as rebreathers are usually used where no breathable ambient atmosphere is available.

So since 1 O2 is 1 second, at deeper depths every 30 O2 is 15sec or 10sec. The rebreather negates this effect back to a 1/1 O2 usage.
